My research

Have you ever used a translation tool before, read the translation, and thought 'I do not actually mean to say that'? Now imagine translating a text containing politically sensitive or loaded language. Immediately, the impact of the translation not conveying your sentiment has the potential to harm people.

It is great that machine translation tools provide easy access to fairly good and quick translations, (almost) independent of their user's language proficiency. My aim is to investigate and focus on the quality of politically sensitive machine translations and increase the engagement of the users with their translation.
